Refund Policy

Who you are buying from

Subscriptions and other paid services for ResumaryAI are sold by Beijing Xilin Technology Co., Ltd. (referred to as “we,” “us,” or “ResumaryAI”). PayPal is our payment service provider: PayPal processes card or wallet payments and, where you subscribe through PayPal, may manage recurring billing in accordance with PayPal’s user agreements and policies. PayPal is not the seller of our software or plans.

Subscription renewals and refunds

Renewal payments are generally non-refundable because they grant access for the entire upcoming billing period (for example, a full month on a monthly plan), unless applicable law requires otherwise or we agree otherwise in writing.

You can cancel your subscription at any time so that you are not charged for future periods. After cancellation, you keep access to paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for.

If you believe you were charged in error (for example, a renewal you did not intend) or you did not receive the service you paid for, contact us promptly at the email below. We review refund requests in good faith and on a case-by-case basis, subject to verification and our records (including whether plan credits were used during the period in question).

How to request a refund or billing review

To request a refund, correct a billing error, or ask about a charge:

  • Email us first: help@resumaryai.com from the email address on your ResumaryAI account. Include the date and amount of the charge and, if available, your PayPal transaction ID or receipt details. We aim to respond within a reasonable time.
  • PayPal disputes: If you paid with PayPal, you may also have rights to open a dispute or claim in the PayPal Resolution Center within the time limits and conditions described in PayPal’s policies. Using PayPal’s process does not waive your right to contact us directly; we encourage you to reach out to us first so we can try to resolve the issue quickly.

Approved refunds are sent to the original payment method through PayPal’s settlement process. Timing on your bank or card statement can vary; allow up to several business days (and in some cases longer depending on your financial institution).

Nothing in this policy limits any non-waivable rights you may have under the laws of your country or region.

What happens after a refund

Once we confirm and process a refund for a subscription payment:

  • Your subscription will be placed on the Free tier (or equivalent) as of the effective date we communicate to you.
  • Paid-plan credits or allowances may be adjusted to match the Free plan (for example, monthly credit limits described in our pricing or terms at the time of the refund).
  • Your account and content (such as saved resumes) are not deleted solely because of a refund unless our Terms of Service apply for other reasons.

Cancellations

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your Account Settings in ResumaryAI (where available) and, if you subscribed via PayPal, through your PayPal account under pre-approved payments or subscriptions, as PayPal’s interface labels them. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not automatically refund amounts already paid for the current billing period unless a separate refund is approved under this policy or required by law.

Payment processing

We do not currently use Paddle or other listed resellers for checkout. Payments are accepted through PayPal only, as described on our checkout screens. PayPal’s terms, privacy notice, and buyer protections apply to PayPal’s processing of your payment data and to eligible disputes handled through PayPal.
